The High Performance CopperGate™ HomePlug® AV CG2110 Chipset for Home Networking
The CopperGate HomePlug AV CG2110 Chipset provides a cost effective, high performance solution for the most demanding triple-play home services - video, audio, data, and voice applications - over existing power lines.
With up to a 200 Mbps bit rate for the physical layer (PHY), the CG2110 is the ideal chipset for consumer home entertainment products.
The CG2110 Chipset contains an integrated HomePlug AV media access control (MAC) and PHY transceiver that interfaces with an external analog front end (AFE). This high-performance, low-cost networking solution is fully compliant with the HomePlug AV specification. The CG2110 Chipset is optimized to stream high and standard definition TV (HDTV and SDTV) video content, audio content, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) data, and other applications that are highly time-sensitive and require low latency.
The chipset forms a cost-effective and reliable in-home networking backbone and provides an ideal solution for Triple Play Services for distribution of data and multi-stream entertainment content such as IPTV.
